Dawna Smith
End of Life Doula, LME
About Me
Caring for others has never been just a profession for me — it is the work of my heart.
My calling began early in life, shaped by the deep love I had for my grandparents and later strengthened by the loss of my father when I was young. These experiences taught me something profound: the power of presence, the dignity of compassion, and the importance of honoring every precious moment we are given with those we love.

Over the years, that quiet inner pull to help, comfort, and guide others only grew stronger. Today, it has become my life’s work as an End-of-Life Doula.

My Approach
As a doula, I blend practical knowledge with a holistic, heart-centered presence. I meet families where they are — emotionally, spiritually, and physically — making space for peace, clarity, and comfort during life’s most tender chapter.
I provide support that is:
✨ Compassionate and grounding
✨ Holistic and family-centered
✨ Rooted in dignity, respect, and steadiness
My goal is simple:
To ensure no one feels alone at the end of life — not the person transitioning, and not their loved ones.

I believe every story deserves to be honored, every life deserves to be witnessed, and every family deserves gentle guidance as they navigate this sacred journey.

A Little About My Life Outside of Work
When I’m not serving families, I’m pouring love into my own. I cherish time with:

-
My two children: Tucker (18) and Paisley (7)
-
My husband, Toby, my partner of over 25 years
We love hosting gatherings, cooking, boating, camping, riding ATVs, and filling our days with laughter, conversation, and connection. These moments fuel me. They remind me why the work I do matters — because love, time, and togetherness are life’s greatest gifts.

Why I Do This Work
Giving to others fills my soul. It’s what I was created to do.
Each family I meet and every life I help honor reinforces this truth:
Even in endings, there is beauty, purpose, and peace.
Thank you for taking the time to get to know me.
I would be honored to walk alongside you and your family.
