From an early age, I developed a deep love and respect for older adults. My very first school report in elementary school was about my elderly neighbor — “Grandma Betty” — and what her life was like growing up in the 1920s. I was also blessed to grow up with all four of my great-grandparents well into my late teens and to have close relationships with both my paternal & maternal grandparents well into adulthood — relationships I still cherish today. Those experiences shaped who I am and continue to inspire the way I approach my work: treating every client as if they were part of my own family.
In the early 2000s, after my two children started school, I became a licensed real estate agent. The market was fast and competitive, but it was during that time that I earned my senior-focused certification and realized my true passion — serving older adults and their families. When the market shifted in 2007, I chose to follow that calling more closely and transitioned into senior living and long-term care.
I began as a Sales Manager for a local senior living company and quickly advanced to Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for what was then the largest senior-living provider in the nation. I oversaw up to 15 Assisted Living and Memory Care communities and often worked 6–7 days a week to make sure residents and team members were supported and that we were living up to our promises.
In late 2013, my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with uterine cancer. I am grateful to say I had a successful outcome — but that experience changed me. It reminded me to do work that matters to families, not just to corporations. So in 2014, I stepped away from the corporate world and began working directly with seniors and caregivers to help them find the right care, the right housing, and the right timing for their unique situation. Having someone who understands both long-term care and real estate — and how those two worlds intersect — has been a relief to many families I’ve served.
🌷 My Faith
My faith is a very important part of who I am and how I serve. I love sharing Bible-based comfort and hope with families who are going through hard seasons. I believe in God’s promise of a better future — a time when no one will grow old, get sick, or die, and when the kind of services I provide today won’t even be needed anymore. Until that day comes, I count it a privilege to help families make loving, dignified choices for the people they care about.
Why I Do This
It takes special understanding to walk with someone through aging, caregiving, and big life transitions. Seniors deserve a professional who understands the complexity of their situation — legal, medical, housing, and family dynamics — and who will advocate for them with compassion. As a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) and Managing Real Estate Broker, I bring that knowledge, but I also bring empathy. I know these are big decisions — where will Mom live? who will care for Dad? how do we pay for this? — and I’m here to make it easier.
A Little About My Life
When I’m not helping seniors and their families, my husband, Todd, and I love spending time with our growing family — including our four beautiful granddaughters and a handsome grandson — plus lots of adorable nieces and nephews. We enjoy traveling to Maui, visiting new places, camping, gardening, canning, cooking with friends and family, and quiet evenings at home with our two Shih Tzus, Gucci and Versace.
